Second Amendment

Bill is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, and he believes that we each have an individual right guaranteed by our Constitution to keep and bear arms.

As Governor, he will steadfastly protect Tennesseans Second Amendment rights.

As the current Mayor of Knoxville, Bill made sure that Knoxville, unlike all other major cities in Tennessee, does not impose criminal penalties on concealed carry permit holders who carry their guns in city parks.

Bill trusts our legislature and our Tennessee local law enforcement officials to create and enforce our gun laws, while protecting our Second Amendment rights. He believes that recent attempts by out-of-state interests to attack Tennessee gun shows were not appropriate.

As a member of the NRA, Bill understands that our Second Amendment rights are essential to our freedom and must be protected.
